Trust me, as I ascended I had this tremendous urge to begin yodeling, but instead just hummed "The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Music." I'm quite sure I saw some woman and a bunch of kids running up the mountain.

    ... more and more wildflowers. We also got more views of the river, as well as a great view of the beautiful Twin Falls, white and splashing in two branches down the hillside. Soon we got to the meadow area, parked, and all climbed out of the jeeps. This place is always so beautiful, and today was no exception!     ... the car and wait to see if the rain would stop. Each time it stopped for a few minutes and then started back even stronger. It looked ever worse further north. We are not used to mountain driving so tackling the most difficult part of the road in the midst of a thunderstorm did not sound appealing. Also, since everything we wanted to do in Ouray was outdoors, we reluctantly decided to turn back south.
