We spent new years eve at Ober Gatlinburg, We rode the tram up. Unfortunately it was very crowded and took us 2 1/2 hours in line to get on the tram. Was pretty ride up to the top of the mountain. But once there they were making snow, and the mountain tops had snow from the night before still on the trees. We ate at the buffet in the restaurant that was excellent, Lot of food ...

... The park was awesome! On the third day we went horse back riding and zip lining. The kids LOVED the horse back riding, however Vera did NOT love the zip lining! :o)

We finished our day with Dolly's famous cinnamon bread, which lived up to the hype and you cant leave without a taste. We regretted not getting a loaf to go for the next morning, so ...

After we left The Preserve we decided it was too pretty a day, so we decided to slip back over to Cades Cove to search for the elusive bear. Once we started the loop there were a lot of deer out and about. About 10 minutes in Lori hollars "there's a bear, there's a bear". Sure enough about 100 feet away was a good size black bear easing along the wood line towards the road. I stopped the car. grabbed the ...
