Blizzards in the white mountains (-6 degrees) ! which curtailed our hikes somewhat ... but by no means spoiled our enjoyment of this amazing, beautiful, part of the country. New Hampshire, New England, where so many of the towns have English names. Portsmouth, Lincoln, Manchester, Dover, Canterbury, to name but a few. So that's where the similarities end.
