      Today has been a busy day. Caught the bus, that was easy until Chris got us on the wrong one but we soon got our bearings back. Dinner consisted of a salad and a dish called a "pie floater" which consists of pea soup topped with a meat pie. While it sounds strange, it was delicious.       ... we decided to take a nice wall along the beach front towards Santa Monica pier. It's about a 1.5 mile walk from out apartment. We didn't go onto the pier, thought we'd save that for an evening and go eat there one day, so just turned round and headed back.       With The Joshua Tree National Park a mere one half mile up the road, a cloudless sky (ok some smog on the horizon) and the Camaro tracking along the yellow line with Georgia at the helm, her first time driving on the flipside and a natural at that.
