After another big sleep in this morning, Cathy kindly offered to take us for a drive after lunch to Vermont, a state over from New York State. We went to a little town called Bennington. Absolutely gorgeous as the trees are starting to loose their leaves for the fall. It would be spectacular when all the trees have turned to fall colour. ... set so cold). About 2.5 hrs later we were in Albany the capital of New York State. Here they have some gorgeous old building as well, the architecture is amazing. From here we were going to hire a car but as we were both exhausted and not that confident in driving we caught the local bus to Niskayuna, about half an hour and then a taxi to Cath's place. ... actually enjoyed (cue the belly laughs from my friends), I would guess we got our 10,000 steps for the day in for sure. Well, anyhow, we managed to spend a good afternoon there so it was a good day!!
Next day got we on the road headed further East. Didn't plan to drive too far, maybe 5 hours (that's always the plan but life happens most times), spent the night in a Walmart parking lot outside ...
