... the road to Michael Jackson's house. Well that was a disappointment. It's in a place called Gary and it's really dodgy looking with lots of boarded up windows and loitering people. His house is the one he grew up in so it's literally a tiny square which is all fenced off anyway. DAY 80
And onto the final leg of the journey...

Leaving the outskirts of Springfield we ventured into the state capital to see the place (Old State Hall) where Abraham Lincoln embarked upon the poignant 'House Divided' speech. After trailing around and looking for a non-meter parking space we finally got parked up and embarked on seeing one of the most historically significant sites in America.
