    ... to hike to. Luckily, it was a beautiful lake and a really short hike from Seven Devils Campground. There’s no way our rig would have fit in the sites in the campground so we were glad we hadn’t hauled out camper up the 17 miles of dirt road. The lake was quiet and deserted aside from the mosquitoes and one fisherman.

    The lady in there was very helpful and gave us a map of where to go. We found Seven Devils Road with no problem.

    ... a place in White Bird. Idaho. Due to my top-notch navigation skills, we took a couple of very wrong turns. So wrong, in fact, that we had to turn around on a narrow road (ooops!).     When checking into our rafting company, I was delighted to hear it was going to be the "Hot Summer Nights" festival in Riggins, ID that weekend. And there was a local talent show that evening! That was it- I was sold, we had to stay here for the night.

    The owners greeted us and told us a bit about their ranch, which is available as a place to stay on the Main Salmon. It is a working ranch and their are horses, donkeys, pigs, chickens and goats. Some of the workers were chopping wood in preparation of the winter ahead.
