      The drive from Gatlinburg to Bryson City was absolutely stunning as it took us through the heart of the Smokey Mountains into North Carolina. On our way to Bryson City we stopped off in the nearby town of Cherokee and looked around the museum learning about the plight of the Cherokee Indians and the Trail Of Tears, very interesting indeed.

      ... enjoying the relaxation. While most people were out of camp and to the NOC very early, Mooch and I slept in and only got out of camp around 9. We went for breakfast at the restaurant at the NOC, where we ran into pretty much every hiker in the area and had some great food.
