          ... was that we had to argue with the waitress as she insisted that we must show her our ID to prove our age before she could let us have any alcoholic drinks (passports were in the hotel). Very flattering but totally ridiculous, and she eventually agreed to break the rules as she was fairly sure we were over 21. I had hoped to get more out of Nashville, and to hear more of their music, but this time luck was against us. Off to Memphis and back to the Blues ...

          ... Polk. Lots of beautiful oil paintings of these men hanging within its walls. If you come to the States, try and get into a State Capitol. It is fascinating to see it at work... My last night was spent in Hillsboro State High School watching their production of 1984. The bloke I'm staying with is a theatre designer and his friend is the drama teacher.           ... gave praise, danced, gyrated, convulsed, fanned themselves into next week, but no one was putting on a show, promoting a new CD or plugging merchandise.           ... we nearly got knocked out by the fumes of the 140% proof whisky. It was also really strong in the warehouse where they have 6,000 barrels of the stuff as it seeps out of the barrels. I felt tipsy and I hadn't even drunk any!! We are just getting ready to go out for some ribs and some bud!! Memphis here we come!!! Love and miss you all loads ...

          ... over easy) 3 slices of bacon, 2 slices of buttered toast and side of gravy...I tasted the gravy but I didn't eat it.
          Noel went with the Country Fried Steak Weekend Special which had the Country Fried Steak, 2 eggs over easy, Hashbrown Casserole, with Gravy and a Biscuit.
