We liked the look of the Grizzly River Rapids in Adventure land. Eight-men circular rafts made their way on what at first seemed like a relaxing ride down the river. We refused to be lulled into a false sense of security however, as we'd seen the people coming off at the other end completely drenched! It was with some concern that we covered Nomes' backpack which contained our cameras with Nomes' jacket. ...

We set off from the Pirate Bay Resort keen to get to LA that evening. Back at Meteor Crater I'd been chatting with a Kiwi chap who recommended an RV park close to Universal Studios. I phoned ahead and reserved a plot.

... got my stuff sorted around me and in the overhead.

Soon, it appeared that I had a row to myself. I couldn’t believe it. Then a guy from the row in front moved back to the aisle seat, but even so, now I had a free seat next to me, which makes all the difference.

I had a few scares that someone was going to claim the seat before the doors closed, but all was good.

Having a drink at the newly renovated Tom Bradley Terminal at LAX. Our 13 hour flight to Istanbul leaves at 6:20 pm. Short layover and another 5 hours to Nairobi. We arrive at 1:00 am. Lots of shopping at Bradley but still pretty lame restaurant ...
