After getting off the ferry we searched for a rest stop nearby. First time washing up in a truck stop bathroom, forgot a towel so had to try and maneuver drying my face off with the air dryer. Yeahh... just thank god no one walked in. First night sleeping in the big booty mama. We cut out foam mats to fit the windows and folded a blanket over the front seats to ...

On Sunday, Oct. 12th, we woke up, got all packed up and headed out of Plymouth, NH and set our sights for Lake Placid, NY. The drive was BEAUTIFUL! Full of more changing leaves and windy roads.

There were a lot of cars on the road. We figured that we'd travel on Sunday instead of Monday, since Monday was the end of the holiday weekend and EVERYONE would be on the roads then.

We had all day to drive 4 hours, so when we drove through this small ...

      ... breakfast included.

Our knotty pine room glowed. Functional wall scones. A cleverly crafted closet. A room length shelf over the radiator-just right for putting things. A window wall above framed another soul saturating view, this one less manicured, more intimate. A snapshot of the woods. My woods. Hemlocks may have lent their name to this place, but it was the maples and ...
