... delicious, followed by the macaroons. I thought of Robyn at this time, as when we travelled around Canada before, we always stopped at the Fairmonts for food as there was no way we could afford to stay there.

We are in sleepers on the train. Jenny is in the top bunk and I am on the lower with the big window and without the ladder to climb. We are only a couple of steps from the toilet and not many more from the shower. We are supplied with towels and bedding. ...

... up on my blog etc before going to Osborne Village for dinner with a local guy, Perry. We ended up at this pretty cool healthy burger place. Osborne Village is pretty trendy - some good restaurants and bars. After that, we walked down to the exchange district where the Winnipeg Fringe Festival was on which is pretty popular there. ... The map says it's a two and a half hour ride, but I've been fooled before. I once drove the Durango Highway, Google maps says it's a three hour drive, and I guess on a normal road, doing a normal speed, that may have been the way the programs math works... I mean it was only 250kms. Six hours later...
