In the last week, since leaving Thunder Bay I have also crossed my first timezone, gaining an hour of time, if unfortunately not milage, my first land crossing on foot (or wheel). Coming from the UK this is something to get excited about. At home, I would have cycled the full length of the British Isles by now.

It was a fantastic and funny night out, with both the local warm up guy and the main artist from New York making us laugh until our whole face ached! Godfrey, the NY comedian originally from Namibia, could turn the air blue often. However if you could look beyond the bad language, he was very talented, and no one, from Elmo to the Pope, escaped his razor sharp wit.

... some people nearly two hours to reach the start line! I really admire the spirit of those who entered, especially when these events are often to raise money for great causes. The South Aussie girls stationed in Vancouver all entered the 10km run, so good on them. I got the chance to visit the Winnipeg Zoo for the first time a couple of weeks ago.
