On our way to Galveston we got caught in traffic so we opted for an adventure in the form of a detour. What a surprising view. The Gulf roughly lapping the shores; beautiful homes on stilts, pastel colors of beach community homes were easy on the eye. I wish more of them were caught in pictures. Small farms, resturants and shops dotted the main drag and the bay was so still in direct contrast of the gulf. This was an enjoyable ...

Just us 3 are there. But the view is nice. We can see the sunset every nite quite nicely. The dinner was good. ... I have a Cannon Powershot something, with a few specialty filters and lens attachments that I've yet to master. Plan on getting some practice before we go. We also have a HD Camcorder and a couple small Sony pocket cameras so we'll always be ready!
Headed to Moody Gardens now to Practice with my new lenses. They have a Beautiful rainforest exhibit full of exotic plants, butterflies and wildlife that will surely test them out!
