... Some of the attached pictures are from our drive up to the pass. We had lunch in Sacramento at a place called The Virgin Sturgeon a "floating" restaurant on the Sacramento River. It was nice to sit on the deck and eat lunch. By 4:00 we were at the hotel in San Francisco. The Orchard Garden is on Bush St., less then a block from the entrance to Chinatown. Temperature ...

Jestli do konce zimy ještě pořádně nezaprší a na horách nezasněží, bude to mít Kalifornie přes následující léto velmi složité. They also have animals to pet, the 3 little pigs, three blind mice, 3 billy ...

At about 6:40am I was waiting at the gate to board my American Airlines flight to LAX at 7am. Found out the flight had been cancelled. No reason was offered. SO, myself and 50 other passengers had to schlep our way down to the baggage terminal, get our luggage and then go back up to the ticketing agents.

Getting through southern Oregon is a constant climb towards Grants Pass (4310 ft elevation) with several other summits along the way. Seems like we were always in a deep canyon, going through a pass or cresting a summit - everyone was shrouded in cloud. Some of the descents are 7 degree grades and 7 miles long with lots of sharp curves - we saw one flipped semi that was completely burnt up.

    The Oregon forests are ...
