... point. It's been a very hard week, and seeing his little face walk away from me was crushing.

We stopped for brunch at a great little restaurant called "The Vegan Joint". Phil's burrito wasn't anything spectacular, but Alices "omelette" was quite good!

The drive was nice and sunny, we went along the 101 and up the 1.

We're stopping in at a friends house in Atascadero, ca. I'm sure lots of alcohol will be consumed. Again.

We drove all the way to the end and went too far and got Houston stuck. I jumped out and a guy driving by asked if he could pull me out. I unhooked the strap on the back of the truck holding the canoe down and hooked it to his ...

She got the champagne cake and I got the strawberry of course. :) we were miserable by the end of it!! Our last stop for the day was Forever 21. I know it sounds cheesy but this is something I look forward to all year. It's a tradition for us. The store is in an old JCPenney type building so it is HUGE!!! It takes forever to get through it and by the ...

... when they came to a tree that was in the way they dug around it, poured cement to encase it and then moved it. the said one tree weighed 6 tons! The bus ride up took about 10 minutes. Alex Trebek told random stories and fun facts about the castle over the speakers on the bus. Stepping off the bus I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the house and gardens. There were flowers and palm trees everywhere. The actual tour only went through 5 rooms but we ...
