... point. It's been a very hard week, and seeing his little face walk away from me was crushing.
We stopped for brunch at a great little restaurant called "The Vegan Joint". Phil's burrito wasn't anything spectacular, but Alices "omelette" was quite good!
The drive was nice and sunny, we went along the 101 and up the 1.
We're stopping in at a friends house in Atascadero, ca. I'm sure lots of alcohol will be consumed. Again.

Our next stop was Big Sur, but first we got to enjoy the beautiful drive up the Central California Coast. We needed to make a pit stop for the 1 o'clock kick off were USA almost took home a victory over Portugal. A 2-2 draw was nothing to be shameful of. We were fortunate to see this game in a fun funky spot know as Ragged Point. Not only was there live music but a BBQ to boot.

Our drive from Oroville, Ca. to Avila Beach, Ca. took about 61/2 hours. We are not on the beach but it is a short drive to the beach from our KOA campground. The campground is small and campsites are a little tight. there is no grass in the campsites. They have a nice pool and spa and small store. We got settled in, made a late lunch then took a drive out to the beach. On the way to the beach we stop at a small market and petting farm along the road. It is very cool, ...
