We are back in the camper fairly early (for us) to have dinner and catch up the blog. I was so tired last night after the errands and the campfire, I just went to bed. But as I pointed out earlier there may not be an entry every day if it gets to be too much work or if it interferes with seeing things. She ran two trucks down and was just standing there looking back at the RV when I realized. Such a good girl, came running back in when I called her! Whew! 7/1 Day 10 It was a quiet day in Lake Woebegone, oh, it is lake Manawa. We continue to camp at Lake Manawa State Park in Iowa. It was a quiet day. We slept in then went to the visitor center in Omaha. They appraised us of many more sites to see than we will have time for. We then went to lunch at this very quaint French bistro / wine store. I had the whole trout with dill and Peg had the crawfish ettouffe, a traditional Cajun dish. Delicious. ...
... enough it is. I wrote it down on a stolen napkin and the taxi driver looks at it from time to time. His name is Javier Pardo and he's friendly and chatty. I think all the drivers who go to the airport are. He tells us that we should call him if we need a taxi and I write down his phone number. I figure he could take us to the airport when we leave. ... we discovered Dad had misplaced his phone somewhere, after looking through everything and couldn’t find it we logged online to his iPhone tracker to see that it was left somewhere at the airport. We then started Operation Recover Dad’s iPhone. We went to the airport and checked with the car rental desk, who lead us to the police office for lost and found and they had it! Apparently Dad left it on a bench and someone luckily turned it in! We go running back ...
