... not the reptile kind, but a funky little shop that Sold Day of the Dead sugar doll stickers, pendants etc. Coasters with sayings like. ... shoes. There are 2nd hand shops where I could spend all day. Oh wow and I would love to buy loads of stuff and freight home. ... to recall the events of that day. The cockroach museum lightened things up for us- it was a quick, but memorable stop( wink, wink!). Our drive to Austin was full of exclamations-"Blue Bonnets!! Blue Bonnets on the right!!" The roadside was so colorful. Once in Austin, it was fried chicken at Lucy's- fun to sit out in the cool evening air with a tin bucket of fried chicken- and some FRIED deviled eggs. ... to finish they're shopping for the day. To end our day in Dallas we went to a Mavericks basketball game, the third thing I saw in the American airlines center. Now I'm not a huge fan of basketball but the experience was cool and something I won't forget. I thought the basketball game was a good way to end our trip especially since Dallas won.
