    ... of grass. As we set off to the north, our goal was to find a channel near the clamming dock at the tip of the point which we had seen yesterday. It was only in the last part of our trip that we actually found the channel.

    I tried out one of the bikes, which, with it's white seat and wide tires, kind of reminds me of moon boots (remember those?) or a cartoon bike. I found the crabbing dock at the end of the street, jutting into the marsh, and took the family there as they tried out their bikes.     ... to pick up some fresh shrimp for the grill. We stopped at Gay Fish Company, a family owned fish market that has been there for a long time and was the filming location for the shrimpin’ in Forrest Gump. When we got there a boat had just pulled in and was unloading laundry baskets full of delicious crustaceans. The shrimp was as fresh as could be and the prices were cheap so we paid for a pound and were on our way.
