    Well, I-10 and I-12 are in no better shape than last trips. It's like riding a roller coaster for 2 hours. Luckily I-49 was much better. We took I-49 North to line up with Hwy 380 in Texas. This is a small 2 lane highway to nowhere. Roswell, The Very Large Array, Valley of the Fires and the Painted Desert are accessible from this road.

    After a rainy morning, we ventured out to the nearby Gardens of the American Rose Center. It has a beautiful brochure with a map of the gardens. Throughout the garden are small plots planted by either individuals or rose societies or garden clubs. The brochure states that the peak of the spring bloom is the last week in April or the first week in May. Ahh! ...

    Well, it looks like a rainy day today. There is rain with thunder storms forecast. Well, it's spring. We’re staying in to wash clothes and make some changes in travel plans.
