    ... trying to retrieve their bags. seemed like controlled chaos.
    We had a hop on hop off bus tour booked, which worked out really well. The main depot for the bus routes was literally across the road from our hotel. We did one loop on each of the routes, and saw all the highlights of the city, then trundled across Biscayne Blvd to our room and relaxed for the evening. Lunch at Bubba Gump's was excellent.

    After many hours of sleep, we found a little breakfast place in a mall that is attached to the Marriott. Now we were ready to begin our day.

    We left the hotel around 10:30 and headed to Bayside which is an open mall type of place with lots of little shops. Along the way we passed by the sports arena where the Miami Heat plays. We made a few other picture spots along the way.

    ... an early morning swim. The kids loved it and soon after we went for breakfast (yes 7am breakfast - we were all starving!)
    We spent the rest of the day at the pool and had a little walk at the beach. After lunch we took both kids up for a sleep - and once they were asleep I went back to the pool for some bliss! I returned 45 mins later to give G his time and he went for a swim in the sea.

    Jennifer turns 12 today. When Vera and I asked her how she wished to celebrate her birthday she said she wanted either a paintball outing or a party at home, and in the end she elected for the party at home; also in part because she knew her mom was not crazy about the paintball outing idea - LOL.
