    ... Pelican Hotel and after releasing our bags from the boot, our cab promptly took off. We stood on the road,trying to find a way to traverse the crowd dining out front of our hotel on a little food and large cocktails - very large cocktails. After 10 minutes I finally got a waiters attention and rather than answer my question about the location of the hotel front lobby he grabbed my suitcase and ran up the stairs - okay I guess it's thatta way :-) ...

    ... already wet from the rapids but I didn't want the stuff in my bag getting wet. At Kay's hen do Natalie & Amanda thoughtfully gave everyone a poncho in case it rained. These were really thin ponchos designed to cover a light shower, not a torrential downpour. The poncho stuck to me as I was already wet and after 30 seconds it looked like I had wrapped myself in cling film.     ... 2 cartons of Marlboros and a 1 litre bottle of Grey Goose cost me $104 Australian. Tax is a rip off. Sitting at our gate we met this lady who told us that all her family were flying in from around the country to go to Brazil to watch the next USA game at fan fest.
