    ... in New River, north of Phoenix, a distance of 172 miles. It was nice to arrive early afternoon so we could set up camp and then enjoy the pool and sun for a few hours.     Spent time visiting John & Debbie MacKenzie-nice to see them again.

    Went to Fountain Hills for an arts & craft show. Had a nice walk around the area.

    Spent time signing Anita up for Social Security & Medicare/Medicare Supplement Part B/Drug Part D . I think we have it all done.

    ... what will be a relaxing evening and a few drinks(FEW?) later before retiring. Tomorrow's it's off to Sedona! After breakfast and of course, COFFEE!!

    It is very hot here but you can still enjoy the area. Every place I have been is air conditioned. Use a good sunscreen and a hat, drink plenty of water, and you'll be fine. Plus the hotel rates are slashed to try and entice people to come here. I think the resort is full here considering the heat. ...

    ... get you every time! Didn't realize the turkey would be cold and have to be re-heated for an hour and a half before we could actually eat. Bummer, but not the end of the world. We added the customary green bean and fried onion casserole and embellished the stuffing with walnuts, onions and celery. Only half the family was there, but it was a nice, relaxed after-thanksgiving Thanksgiving dinner.
