    ... When compared to S & M's previous apartment, it is much quieter - being off the main road leading to / from a major fire station and generally away from busy streets. It also seems to be much brighter, with large south-facing floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room and main bedroom.     Bright and early at it again, time's precious and there's lots to see. After debating several times over plans, we decided to ride the El around the loop to check out the architecture at another level. Really cool perspective and got to see some neat reflections. It's only 10 minutes around, so feel free to ride it day and night. For us, we did the 1 loop, then continued on south and switched to the Red Line to check out Chinatown.

    ... empty seat next to me. I landed in Chicago around 8:00 local time, collected my suitcase and found Anson, and together we made our way back to the RV, where we caught up and I had dinner. I'm so thankful to God for keeping me safe and allowing me to safely arrive in Chicago, as we know that this isn't always the case!! Anyways, I'm off to bed as this Monday has been so long...37 hours so far...and still counting!! Goodnight! ...

    ... fun seeing everyone and chatting while the kids took the dogs to the park and they all played on the swings and slides.

    By the time we had to leave, our kids begged to simply stay in Chicago, saying they "never wanted to go to Spain anyway." I was afraid this could have been the beginning of a bad thing.     ... who had travelled the CZ route to San Francisco before said that she thought that the scenery was actually better on our section of the bus route! Amtrak bought us lunch at the PUFFERBELLY restaurant where they served good food but not a drop of wine or beer etc! Probably an appetizer to Salt Lake City in Utah?
