Today was the time selected for our obligatory trip to the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center (FAC). It is only obligatory because we love every visit. As per usual, we arrived early. That allowed me time to take photographs of some of the art outside the museum. The east wall of the parking lot is replete with several murals. The two that really ...

... leave, I (Lisa) am in tears. I can't imagine just dropping by their house for a much needed hug or smooch. And Amber... don't even get me started on that sweet thing. She is always good for a dinner date.
They are all so supportive of what we are doing--if only we could all go together. It is such a happy/sad time. We are so sad to leave our family and so excited to ...

Christina and I had dinner at the Broadmoor Tapas bar. The food was good but not great and we were both ready for sleep. Tymber did a great job watching Canyon in our room and no surprise, he had fallen asleep watching the movie (this is a consistent theme in our family).

Tomorrow is the 4th and the resort has a bunch of activities planned.

A nondescript 2 horse town with a little convenience, come cafe, come petrol station. Inside was a lovely lady who brewed a fresh cup of filter coffee for us. I've had better coffees in my life, but this one will be remembered because of the quaint setting and the lovely woman behind the counter. Glad we stopped for a caffeine hit.

... ago returned from a 17-day cruise/air vacation to Egypt. Wow! They both ordered hamburgers....because they had not eaten any since before they left home. John and I dined on fried shrimp and stuffed salmon with crabmeat. (I'll let you readers decide who at what menu item. LOL)

Glad we had that nap...and with little to view on TV tonight, they'll be no problem getting to bed early. We'll need to be dressed, fight our way ...
