... go well for our Bears. Whether it was the persistent rumors floating around that the Longhorns were trying to steal our coach or other distractions, our team did not act ready to play a BCS game.

It was obvious early on UCF was not going to roll over for the highly ranked Baylor team. Despite staging several rallies, Baylor couldn't gain an advantage and UCF left with a well deserved 52-42 win.

We climbed out of the valley on the narrow back roads high enough into the Sierra Nevada that we met a snow plough on its way back from clearing the pass up ahead. First to eye place to get Phil’s glasses fixed-he had lost a screw on one side, then a new bath tub non skid thing for the tub, looked for new bathroom scales but did not find any To Staples for a thumb drive, to Fry’s to get milk for Red and can’t remember where else. Finally home and Phil went for his workout and I joined him at the pool later. I put some things on the thumb drive for him and later could not get it to open-ended up ...

... gate right on time. The flight was 8 hours long (strong head winds), but went by pretty quick. I was able to watch a couple of movies and a few TV shows. Those online entertainment centers are great.
