Left El Paso about 2:30 AM this morning, in hopes of beating some of the heat. However, there is no beating 107° in Weatherford. So, we follow the simple directions from this KOA website and they are all screwed up. Eastbound on 20 the site says get off on exit 406. ... we settled up the tab and paid for 30 gallons of 100LL at (wait for it....) $6.82/ gallon!!!! I guess the "free" shuttle ride and "complimentary" courtesy car were being paid for somehow after all. That's over $2.50/gallon more than the average fuel price we'd paid so far, and almost $1/gallon more than fuel in the Bahamas.
