Sally up at 7:00, made the coffee run and now we are dressing for this big day. And what a big day it turned out to be with an FSU victory but in a close game Saturday night. We met Dean Driscoll and Kevin in the lobby and drove them to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History for our College of Education co-brunch with Oklahoma State. This was a very nice affair and we met a wonderful couple, the ...

The bus took 40minutes and the bus only took maximum 15; Fort Worth was a surprisingly big city obviously not as big as Dallas but we were expecting a couple of cowboy ranches with horses strung up outside! Our guide told us about the stadium. It is huge and cost over 1.2 billion dollars. The major feature is the video screen ( actually ...

At noon we left for our next road trip to Waco and then on to Fort Worth. A quick stop at a Mickey D's for a coke. (59 cents for seniors) Sally had her peanuts while I worked on the blog. Gas at a 7-11 in Hillsboro. In Waco, we ...

The stock yards of Fort Worth are about as stereotypically Texan as you can get. When we arrived the cowboys were leading a cattle walk down the road so the Longhorn cows could be lead to their new patch. Although there was undoubtably a touristy element to this it was good to see some genuine Texan cowboys! They were so cool. We then settled into our ...
