... under 1.5 hours and we got to our hotel, the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza around midday. We checked into our room (Room 852) and settled in.
For lunch we walked through the Westfield Century Plaza onto Santa Monica Boulevard and got our first taste of an American McDonalds. The Menu was very similar to home. The McHappy meal had the minion figurines as the toys. After finishing up lunch, we walked back to the hotel where the girls got straight into their ...

Woke up anyway – in time – at 1am. Got the 20min taxi to Lima airport. Queued for ages to check in, only to be told we needed to tell them the address we would be staying at in America. Well we didn't have it on us so Jack had to find a computer in the airport to get on the internet to find the address. Eventually checked in and got through customs. Flight from Lima to Panama was 4 hours. Pretty ...

Inside we found our seats and were surprised at how good they were. We could see everything. The players came out and began to warm up. It was very exciting. In the end the Lakers lost by about 10 points but we still enjoyed the game. The next morning we went ...

... going away for our first official holiday together but it was overshadowed by a few events leading up to our departure. Namely the passing of my dad the weekend before. This break is just the distraction we both need to refocus ourselves. We braced ourselves as the taxi negotiated the streets and the early morning peak traffic- it was a weekday after all, like any any other day. It wasn't long before we arrived at the airport and had cleared security. Breakfast was on ...

... There is a procedure; connect the large pipe (not dissimilar to a tumble dryer hose) to the tank outlet and shove it into the dump pipe (a sewerage pipe in the ground on the RV plot). Then pull out the black tank handle (listen to the gush - yum). Once the black tank has emptied, use the grey tank to "rinse". Then stow the hose. Simples.

Well it was a sunny morning in Northern LA and I followed the usual procedure. Except usually ...
