    Got to our hotel yesterday afternoon for a 24hr stop over in LA. Threw our suitcases into our hotel room, took the shuttle back to the airport and the LAX flyer into downtown LA. Dropped off at the 'Union Railway Station' very iconic postcard shot. Inside was right out of the 50's .. with everything beautifully restored, included leather armchairs in the waiting room.     ... t go too long and get boring. After that we headed down and did the studio tour which we had front of the line passes for. We got put straight on the front of the next tour bus and the tour guide Marseilles toured us around the famous universal studio lot. It was pretty interesting, we didn't see any famous people but we did see a few shows being taped and got to see where a lot of our favorite shows and movies are made. A few movie sets still ...

    ... or right was not the issue it usually is:) Drove this convoluted route to travel by the coast as much as possible but " marine fog" made the beach disappear after we stopped at Santa Barbara around 3.00pm. Room with a beach view yes you guessed it fog. Phillip suggested when we went for a walk it was like Nightmare on Elm Street with the fog and car lights. Maybe we will get some beach action early ...
