... only suitable for 4WD's. So we took a few photos of some of the beach and a couple of horse riders coming up the beach.
Next stop was the pier. Lots of people fishing and a few surfers hoping to catch a wave or two.
Headed to Vons supermarket and got some stuff for lunch and received a call from Hotel that room was ready. We headed back moved into the new room and had our lunch.

... Padres National Forrest to Los Olivos, the wine centre of the Santa Ynez area. All the local wineries had tasting rooms in the town,and other eclectic shops and galleries abounded. We also tried to visit the miniature horses at Quicksilver Ranch but they had closed at three p.m - too bad for them,this missed out on our company. Back onto highway 101 to Pismo Beach which will be our base for the next two days. A balmy evening as we headed to the beach for a walk ...
Today has been a quiet day. We have done very little. We went into Pismo township and walked along the pier. At the camp site the girls went for a brief swim and Poppy, Mike and I played mini golf.
That's about it for the day. Lots of lying around and doing very little. All of us are unwell with colds at varying stages and so we didn't feel ...
... br> We had great escort coverage today as the local San Luis Obispo sheriffs and CHP led us through the Cal Poly SLO campus and directly into downtown SLO. Our 4 riding groups rode together from the Grammar school into SLO....it was one long train of over 200 cyclists, support vehicles, police cars with lights and sirens.....and we didn't stop at a single red light...it was awesome.

... way too expensive so ended up in central California in Fresno. Here he bought 80 acres of land and tried to start his orchard. Unfortunately, the ground here is as hard as a rock and the summers bring temps of 115 which tends to burn up fruit trees. So, the guy being determined to succeed hired himself out as a farmhand and then gets the bright idea to dig down 12 foot and plant his trees. Then he gets another bright ...
