    ... return all the way to Odessa before we could turn around. It wasn’t so funny at the time but have laughed and enjoyed the humor of it ever since.

    The service station is no longer in business and the buildings have been destroyed. For having once been an oil booming area, the remnants of the service station speak of losses and sadness, perhaps emotional as well as financial. That part was sad to see.

    ... Add that to my list of crazy stuff along with this, who knew that shrimp and grits were for breakfast? I tried to order some for lunch the other day and the guy pretty much laughed at the idea of me even asking for it after 11am.

    Going to try to sleep in tomorrow since we will gain two hours by the time we get to Arizona. Looking forward to spending the evening with the Paris'.

    San Antonio was beautiful. The hotel kind of stunk but we got comped a couple of the nights. :)
    We walked all over. It was cool because there was a anime convention in town and there were so many people walking around dressed up. We went on a trolley tour and learned so much.
    It was great meeting up with my friend, Jana because we had never met before. :)
