Kings Ransom Sedona Hotel
Travel Blogs from Sedona
The drive here once we got past Flagstaff was really beautiful. We drove through Coconino National Forest - this was beautiful but the real scenery started once we hit Oak Creek Canyon. Sedona is known for its red rocks and with the recent snowfall it was simply stunning. Once arriving in Sedona we checked out the visitor centre and got some info. …
Hi, We had an amazing trip from Kingman today. Route 66 had so many places to stop and explore. Then the trip from Flagstaff to Sedona was Magnificent. Sedona is absolutely incredible and we are looking forward to seeing more of it tomorrow. We are here 3 nights so can unpack a bit and relax. Kings Ransom is great with a pool which we may use …
We found God's slip and slide. It is located just north of Sedona, in a park run by the State of Arizona, and goes by the name of Slide Rock. It is the swimming hole we all imagined when we were kids. Mix together strong current, smooth rocks, and a little algae and you have a recipe for fun for all ages. If you are young enough and skinny enough …
Today we drove a half hour east of here to Camp Verde, Arizona to an animal park called Out of Africa. The premise of this place is that they have set up a 110 acre facility similar to African terrain. That works if you can imagine the African terrain with 10 foot chain link fences everywhere. They have a decent collection of animals. The standard …
Pink is not my color. It is certainly not Sarah or Pat's favorite color. But, when you ride in a pink jeep up the side of a mountain with up to 45 degree inclines and ascend some 2000 feet into some of the prettiest country you will ever see, it will become anybody's favorite color. That was our big adventure this afternoon. Here are a couple of …

Historical Traveler Reviews Kings Ransom Sedona Hotel
Best value in Sedona
This was my third trip to Sedona and my second staying at the Kings Ransom. This place has a fabulous old school landscaped courtyard with a huge pool and spa. The rooms all have red rock views as you are right in the national forest with a trailhead at the back of the hotel. They have an excellent onsite restaurant, free WI-FI. There are more contemporary Executive rooms but my wife and I really enjoy the "piazza" experience at night in the courtyard with all the people enjoying the desert night. There are plenty of galleries, restaurants and shopping right next door but it still feels quiet and isolated. We shopped around after our first trip to Sedona and found this hotel was the best deal in town.
I booked this hotel for an overnight stay March 22nd, 2005. I was staying at my in-laws very nice Scottsdale home and just needed a clean room with two beds for myself, husband and two boys for our overnight trip to Sedona. My AAA rate was great and I knew the location was perfect.
I stayed here over Christmas 12/23/04 - 12/28/04 and got what I paid for.
You pay for what you get
12/26/04 Stayed one night and would not have stayed another. Woke up sore from the beds, pool closed but hot tub open but didn't use it has green alge all over the sides. The sinkandtub did not drain, shower head sprayed out the sides. Room could use some detail cleaning. Overall ok for the budget minded traveller
Nice place for a good rate
Close to town, good views in the dining room and from our balcony. I've stayed here 3 times, each time in the newer section of the hotel. The rooms are spacious. Close to a hiking trail that goes to Snoopy Rock. Good rate. Recommended for those who don't need to be pampered but who want a comfortable place to stay.
Nice place to stay
Stayed three nights at the Quality Inn south of Sedona. Had a suite on the first floor overlooking the pool area and looked out on beautiful green landscaping. Very enjoyable stay. Hotel is several years old; but for the most part has been kept very clean. Restaurant left a little to be desired so we ate other places in and around Sedona. Rode the Verde Valley Train and went to the Chuckwagon Show at a Ranch in Cottonwood. Both were very entertaining. All in all Sedona is a fantastic place to visit.
Stayed 2 nights on vacation. Hotel OK but nothing great. rooms are good but there is a strange smell about the place. We thought we'd been given a pet room at first but when we changed the room had the same smell and when we noticed it in the reception we realised it must be the cleaning materials that they use....better change that I think.
Trip of a Lifetime!
Very pleased with the room! Very comfortable. CLEAN (very important for us!) and the view was gorgeous. For the price, it couldn't be beat. We had a very enjoyable stay. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!
We were in Sedona and decided to stay the night last minute, and we didn't want to spend a whole lot. The room was very, very small. (It basically fit the bed!) There may be larger rooms, I don't know. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool however. It did have some bugs in it that freaked me out, but all in all, it was very romantic. We swam and looked at the stars. There was also a secluded jacuzzi. If you just want a bed to sleep in, so that you can enjoy the sights in Sedona, this hotel should be fine.
I really enjoyed staying at the Quality Inn King's Ransom. The rooms are average but the outside patio was a great to place to eat and the food was excellent. I also enjoyed the pool area. It was set in a very peaceful setting. The views are just as good from this hotel as they are in town and the prices of the rooms are much cheaper.
