I'm reminded of the old axiom, "If you keep on doing what you're doing, you'll keep on getting what you're getting." I do hope there will be some out-of-the-box thinking in the 2014 elections and this country can get back on track to do the kinds of incredible things it is capable of.

... not extend public schooling for everyone two to four more years? And explain it in those terms. Create new standards for people to graduate based on an additional 2-4 years of public (and private) school. I would subtract from things like military spending and support instead a state-sponsored additional 2-4 more years of public schooling. In a time when kids are moving out of the home at the average age of 25 here in the US and in these economic conditions ...
