Getting out of Phoenix was not as trying as getting around the town. Came straight down to Tucson and found this motel despite the closure of many exits. It's also fairly easy to get to Old Tucson Studios (tomorrow's trip) and the AZ Sonora Desert Museum (today's). The Museum was very worthwhile and though I came later in the afternoon than I would …
More time with the Hupps
We wanted more time with family and friends in Tucson. One more round of thinning out stuff we don't need, picking up a few things we do, and getting Bertha ready to head east. Total miles driven since we left Anchorage: ...
And it rained, and it rained, and......

Given the ominous look of things I pulled up WeatherBug and saw what was heading our way - high winds, heavy rain, and hail. We were on a direct intersecting line and needed to outrun it, get checked in and set up before it hit us. We managed to get there, half check in, put Max in a spot, hook up the electric so we had ...
