... When we returned to Laura's house her roommates were home watching a techno rave on T.V. and it amazed me how popular this style of music has become over the years. I recall going to a very large rave in Miami Florida called Zen when I was following The Cure back in '96 and even then I just didn't get it. I've always been a lyrical person and this style has always been the antithesis of that.

... one-way trail! Then we drove through the Guadalupe Mountains National Park. We stopped at the visitor centre so we could get our National Park passes stamped. This mountain range has the highest mountain in Texas at 5465 feet, called El Capitain. Of course, we took some pictures. Then we followed Hwy 62 W, which had more amazing scenery and took more pictures.

Today is Friday. I went searching for my father, and I found him. We ate lunch and I asked him if he could take me to Los Angeles, and he said yes! So I told him to meet me at the place where I worked, and he didn't show up. :( I got really mad and Enrique told me to calm. So we had the money to get on the bus to Los Angeles! Finally! I can't wait to go see my mommy! ...

... reception anyway, since Saguaro NP is on the Eastern edge of Tucson.
We arrived at Saguaro East ranger station just after 9:15am. I told the ranger my intentions and my itinerary and he issued me my very first back country permit! He didn't charge me either, which I thought was interesting, though not interesting enough to bring to his attention. At the entrance station we showed our Parks Pass and headed to the Tanque Verde trail ...
