I spent a very long day in transit from Nashville to Buenos Aires, Argentina. My flight was at 6 am, so my brother dropped me off at a hotel near the airport Friday night. The landscape this morning has been more like home with the tree-lined interstate and lush, green weeds!!!! Even saw our first lake since California in Arkansas.

Not that I have a rest area fetish, but the Arkansas Welcome Center was beautiful with Craftsman-style lighting and well-designed landscape. Like Oklahoma, it had a stone sign for the state name. Even the women in the reception area wore suits.
