Home again This morning we awakened to the sound of rain beating on the cabin. A look outside shows bleak surroundings. We are the only transient boat at Casper's Marina. The weather threatens to keep us here unless the front passes over us and we can get ahead of the rain. Maggie goes to shower and I focus on what the weather is doing. The cool thing about this hike was that we are right on the coast and starting to get into more southern tropical weather (although it doesn't feel like it right now) so we would walk between colorful leaves changing and evergreens and then into a tropical swamp filled with ferns and vines. ... Once we boarded we saw a lot of birds feeding and many were pelicans, albatross and osprey. Big birds! We rode over in the comfort of our little home looking out the windows at other passing ferries and fishing boats.
