... but sorry for the family who lost it - we were pretty close to the same situation as well. Not out of the woods yet!
The house is only 10 years old and is large, well constructed and in a lovely country road setting yet convenient for Jess & Aaron's daily lives and close enough to family.
... New England. August is usually the month we take a new route though and see new places, so I have (so far) decided instead to go straight east and explore some areas that are actually the last unexplored parts of America for me. It is surely not a wilderness, but the coast from New York to South Carolina has only been sparsely visited by the family.
I have been to NYC. Well, my sister says it doesn't count because I just drove around Manhattan at midnight ...
... as we were going through, what with Nina falling over countless times (though not from fear, it was 'because of the shoes' HA), her friend Dominik who seemed to mutter 'scheiße' the entire adventure, & me being like those extremely irritating people who scream at the TV screen during scary movies, pointing out potential hiding spots, shouting 'don't go in there!' & 'LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!'.
Easily my favourite halloween ...
... has not had a White Castle burger, they are little burgers (the original sliders) on small buns. They have 5 little holes in them so the fry cook doesn't even have to flip them. They will rehydrate, dehydrated onions and put them on the bun with their special mustard sauce. I had about 3 burgers and Dave had about 6 of these little gems. They taste ok, but I’m told the BBQ pork sliders ...
... today The Museum of Sicence and Industry here in Chicago is the most fantastic museum I have ever visited. On the way home we stopped at McDonald’s for a quick bite to each after a fantastic day.
