Great ride, but the wait is insane. We fast passed through it, avoiding the 60 minute wait. It was a lot of fun, but it lacked the intensity of some of the other rides.

... burgers were really nice; not greasy, and full of flavour and toppings of your choice. The chips (fries) were great too. A unique thing about this burger place too, is the pile of Peanut bags sitting in the middle of the restaurant when you walk in the door. They offer 'help yourself / all you can eat' peanuts. An odd combination for a burger and fries place. But hey, it is America ;-) After dinner we headed to a supermarket for each of us to buy some supplies for the week ...

Today we went to Universal Studios, the TV and Movie theme park. The weather forecast had predicted downpours so we weren't too sure how the day was going to pan out. There were even warnings of flash floods - There is nowhere for the water to drain here, they didn't bother with a guttering system since it rains on average only about once a month. The Universal rides are mostly simulators and indoor coasters and the majority of the shows are in studios ...

... daylight! There were some very strange people around and you had to be careful with your belongings, as we were told there were some very skilled pick pocketers around. We were quite relieved to get back on the bus!

Next part of the tour was around and I mean around and not through, Beverly Hills. Tour buses aren't allowed to go through it now, I think since maybe in the 60's or even 70's. Lucille Ball got a petition to stop them as some tourists ...

... and the kids started to kick off a little. Our next plan was to head to Santa Monica but grant reckoned it was too far away, and then it seemed we were driving into the bank district so we ate at a dodgy place which I'd rather not speak about after a small argument with my hubby. (Food just terrible!) Afterwards we headed to Santa Monica beach (15 mins later) and found tons of places to eat at! Anyway, we walked along the pier there and then onto ...
