Well, I am in my final hours here at Providence Centralia Hospital, here in Centralia Washington. Infact I currently have just 3 hours left. Fortunately its been a quiet night and I am able to sit down and bang out this entry. This is probably due to the ER physician on tonight. She only orders x-rays and Cat Scans that are needed. Not bad for a fresh out of residency doc. I am sitting listening to Kasabian, underdog....a british band check them out. I have a co-worker tonight, ...
... north; he retired just last week and this trip was a little retirement gift. Dave turned out to be an interesting and very nice fellow. His wife doesn’t camp anymore so he travels solo on the bike. We enjoyed our conversation with him but the exercise had tired us and we turned in early.
Tomorrow we will head for Portland and the Stub Stewart Campground near access to the Banks Veronia Bike Trail.
I worked the grave yard shift at Centralia hospital, in Centralia, WA. this evening. At 0200 they were going to leave me to myself to run the department unilt 0700. It was just me at the radiology desk keeping an eye on the EPIC computer for any entries of radiologic studies to be performed. Everyone had gone home for the night. The TV was playing in the waiting room just on the other side of the glass. Couldn't quite hear enough to know what was on and quite frankly ...
... their upcoming assignment. So I quickly gathered what photos I had with me and we went to school for the "show and tell" presentation. A thoughtful group of kids and a fun activity for a rainy afternoon in Olympia.
Since we were flying out to Denver for Jeff's 35th Birthday and to celebrate Thanksgiving we headed out on the 17th to explore the area more and make our way down to the Portland airport.
