Wow...what a day! After our nice breakfast with all our new Buckeye "friends", we headed out for a beautiful day of driving through the southern states. Then, we hit Atlanta. Not a bad area...but this is where we picked up the storms...the rest of the way was pretty much similar. We had thunder storms with wind, rain, lightening, traffic, rain, …

You haven't reached your destination by any means, your starting point is long gone, and you can't exactly say that you're in Miami, or wherever your layover happens to be. Instead, you have a few hours of stillness in a place of constant movement. Everyone else is bustling about, coming or going to or from some exotic place (or maybe they're just going home to ...

Driving to the next leg of our trip

Finally, the time came to finish up at Orlando and move onto Fort Lauderdale, the next leg of our trip. We were very sad to leave the villa at Orlando as we really felt at home there. Also, we were scared about trying to fit all the luggage into the Ford Escape! Needless to say, it was a very squashy drive...

The drive took much longer than we thought it would. It was mainly motorway (on the Florida Turnpike) and a bit boring really - not much to see. We stopped a couple ...
