... talking with Chris and Paula, Barbara goes off to the enclave to relax and I came up to our cabin to begin the fulfilling act of starting to pack. Afterwards I went to hear a lecture on an event that happened in 1943 over Bremen Germany. A young b17 pilot flying his first mission after his plane was all shot up and barely able to fly was spared death by a German fighter ace. They met almost 50 years after the mission and became very close friends. They stayed in touch with each other ...

We were up early, but that was okay, probably a bit excited!! We ate some breakfast at the hotel, nothing like we'll be getting the next 7 mornings, but it was good. After checking out of the hotel, we drove back to the airport to turn in our rental car. No problem there and now we had to find a taxi to the port. If you are so stupid you can't understand how to hold out your room key to get it scanned walking into a room you don't need to be saved. We also had a man with a WWII Veteran hat on. He looked maybe 65 years old. REALLY! Veteran? ...

We got a little sleep in this morning before we left for Miami. As usual everyone went to sleep pretty immediately in the van and only woke up for the occasional pit stop. Around lunch time we stopped at a rest stop that had some fast food places so we could grab a snack before making it to our destination. The whole ordering food became a very interesting situation very quickly because no matter how simple or ...

What a crazy 24 hours! We arrived in Florida and first thing the next morning we drove to Miami to experience the newest Norwegian cruise ship- the GETAWAY. It has 16 decks, and capacity for 3,800 guests.  We were able to go directly to your stateroom, 13138.  Nicely appointed with a very comfortable bed.  The balcony is quite small, but the newly designed bathroom makes up for that. To our shock, this was an ALL inclusive event ...
