... as well as a good portion off the grapes. We have a view over the pool and party area and there is a speaker playing some easy listening music in the tree in front of us. The Atlantic Ocean is just over the pool but we can't see it because of the rain, now that's saying something! At 5.45 pm we cracked open our dinner packages. We began our trip to Oshkosh on Thursday morning. Lunch in Tifton, GA at Hog and Bone Barbeque. Good sandwich - there is also one of these in Waycross. Arrived at the campground around 2 PM after changing to central time zone. Our site is about 20 feet from the edge of the lake. We can watch the boaters from our bedroom window! We'll try to leave early tomorrow since it is another almost 300 mile day. ...

This is our first morning on this site and as the sun is cresting the trees on the far side of the creek, we are sitting in our car (heater on - it is 33 degrees), and the American Coots are collecting. (Yes, Virginia, they are preparing for their journey to Monona Bay.) They are so funny to watch dive for their food - they have a little "hop" before going under the surface. Oh, here comes the sun! There is a mist rising across the water.
