... the movie... Also did some creative staging - theres the grand show within a show, a ballet featuring the actor playing the conductor opposite the real conductor so the stage looks like a mirror. The dance choreography looked like it was meant for both the real audience and the imaginary one in the story. Bravo! After the show, a late night pasta dinner with our friends at Becco. We were the last patrons out the door. Lovely company. A detour walking back to our hotel ...

This morning we woke up at 6:30 and were sat outside of Franklin bbq by 8am. We weren't even near the front, instead about 40th in the queue, we took chairs and books and sat there for a few hours, the staff came out and chatted to us all and asked what we were going to order (or in our case, helped us decide) we also grabbed coffee from the coffee truck that was parked up and waited patiently, it was quite relaxing, everyone just sat there, some ...

Took some pictures and went across the street to Buddy Holley Plaza where is bronze statue is located. More pics. We than went to the cemetery where he was buried. This was a Virtual Cache where there is no log to sign but it asks you a question you can only answer ...

We took the dogs on a long walk this morning and than headed out to do some geocaching. We went to the Lubbock Lake Landmark, an important archeological site and natural history preserve. There is active digging and a new building highlighting their finds at the site. We found several caches there and enjoyed a long walk around the grounds through a prairie dog ...

We had a relatively short but pleasant driving day, leaving Sweetwater a little before 8AM and arrived here around 10:30. Checked in, got set up and relaxed, watched the Hawkeyes get beat by lowly Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament. Didn't do much for my mood for the rest of the day.

The trip up here showed a yet different side of Texas, we left most of the scrub brush and cactus behind and mostly barren are of red dirt, rock and ...
