We left mosquito campground this morning at 9 am. Lots of folks were leaving at the same time as us --- it's too bad. The folks that own the campground are so nice, the campground is real nice if it wasn't for the mosquitos. We are taking the scenic route to Wisconsin versus the highways. This way we'll be able to see a lot more along the way. We passed the UP State Fairgrounds in Escanaba and a couple of race tracks along the way through ...

    What a pretty pretty ...

To add to the excitement at finally capturing them on film, albeit from a number of feet away, they started to whoop -- a sound I have never heard which was so very interesting (sadly I didn't capture that).

... to that side. First fall. Not moving or dangerous, just some scrapes and lost dignity. Easy 50 mile ride to Minneapolis, my first time there. It is a very big city, and I had to switch to city biking mode, more hand gestures, taking up entire lanes, closing my ears to car horns. After unloading my gear, my bike moved much more quickly and I was off following a friend's suggestions around the lakes and neighborhood bars of the city. A bit of TexMex for dinner and ...
