... lodge at 3:30. It's the Copper River Princess Lodge and is on the Copper River, just outside the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. This area holds a conflicting set of emotions for me as it was an area that Randy loved and where he spent his last days. By the same token, it also holds the Copper River that took him from us, and it’s in the same conditions as when he was ...

Turns out if you have 24 feet of snow covering your wife and your town, a baby is born approx 272 days later. Visiting Jonah at his new home with his new baby and his little wife. Halloween, slippery sidewalks snow and fajitas. All the things that makes a guy be happy for his old traveling buddy when he get's his **** together. The Dart-Mclean family is doing well and is growing every day. Just a quick visit after finishing my walrus duties. ...

Very cold drizzly day. We went on deck several times to see glaciers, but it was fogged in until late in the afternoon when we were finally able to see them. Stood out in the drizzle and viewed Marjorie glacier and saw several calvings (pieces breaking off.) It's quite spectacular to see the calving. That's what everyone waits for.

... the largest glacier in this fjord, Harvard Glacier. It calved a few times for us, which was nice. We also had a bald eagle fly in front of it. The area was gorgeous, even though there was complete cloud cover.

We’ve enjoyed this cruise a lot and would recommend it to anyone. We’ve also been quite pleased with the cruise line, in particular. Our cruise ends early in the morning. Tomorrow we head to Denali National Park via ...

Today was a long day (10 hours) of riding on a train from Denali to Whittier. Even though the scenery was nice it got to be a very long ride however it ended with us going through a couple of very long tunnels and upon exiting the last one we saw our cruise ship. We boarded and a couple hours later had embarked. We spent the evening starting to familiarize ourselves with the ship and settling ...
