This trip began in our heads about a year before it's commencement. We had wanted to test the waters of long duration travel and location independent work for some time, having wild dreams of world-schooling our kids someday and wanting a dry run of it. ... a long hallway then outside to a small plane. We got seated on the plane and it was HOT! We waited about 20 minutes before being told our flight was CANCELLED!

After waiting in an extremely long line we were told we could be put on a flight at 4pm the next day! We decided we would rent a car, get a hotel room, sleep for a few hours and then drive home. We were told it would take about an hour to get our luggage.
