Had a perfect travel day yesterday. Actually got away early, 8:45, and had beautiful cold clear weather all day. It was only once we got close to Portland that we saw any snow at all and there it was only deep in the bush. But shortly after we stopped for the night the snow started. It looks like we got about 3" overnight. Luckily we're heading south! Had great Chinese food last night. Who knew we'd find it in Maine! Here's what morning looked like - winter ...
New Years Eve was a lovely day, travelling down the coast, with the aim of arriving in Boston early evening. We visited Kennebunkport and a neighbouring village, both very cute little seaside towns, lots of money evident there. Kennebunkport is where Clinton has a house, so you can imagine!

Dad you really would love the lobster!! So ...

The one interesting museum was closed, so we headed up the coast. Exploring up the coast we drove through some very cute little towns with the gorgeous wooden houses, but didn't feel the need to ...
When I unzipped Kelty's fly this morning, dense fog rolled in. A layer of dank mist hung over the Saco River and our campsite. I could barely see as I stumbled to the bath house. After downing my vat of oatmeal, I dilly dallied around camp, fussing over White Lightening's gear. With Surly on the DL suffering from chain popping-itis, ...
