... The heavily treed area is behind us and has given way to small farms and fields of corn, potatoes, wheat and barley, which is beginning to turn golden. $3 is the toll to cross the Blue Water Bridge to Canadian customs. The bridge crosses over the very blue waters of the St. Clair River. Ok, you know how all our Saskatchewan oil goes to into Enbridge pipelines? Well I got to see the huge facility where it comes out! ...

... This also meant we weren't eaten alive from sitting outside! It was quite a sight with lightning striking every 10 seconds or so. Some fork, some lighting the entire sky up! ... skimming stones was our safest option. The dinner consisted of spectacular marinated steak, thinly sliced that melted in your mouth! We ate alot of it! Also some fresh strawberries for desert which were equally scrummy! I drank wine with Shani (maid of honour) whilst the boys all squirrelled themselves away in the 'sunroom' for whisky and laddish things. Any woman that entered got booed out again!!! They are going to have a headache on wedding ...

... to Belle Isle. The Detroit and Windsor skylines were impressive.

We're approaching our home waters with mixed emotions. It's nice to be nearing home, but we realize this is our last day of our current adventure.

Lake St. Clair was smooth as glass and we took the scenic route through the St. Clair Flats South ...
