    Heute fuhren wir in den Grand Teton NP. Wir wussten nicht so ganeu, was man hier so alles machen kann und so fuhren wir einfach mal drauflos.     ... NPS map was not detailed enough. After driving for about an hour, we gave up and turned around and headed back to camp. (Turns out we took a wrong turn somewhere along the way).

    When we got back to camp, the girls made friends with another family which was staying in a cabin next to us. After dinner, we enjoyed roasting marshmallows, making s'mores, and sharing stories.

    ... weather was going to be a problem since we had to get our winter coats out when we got there (it warmed up the next day). We had stopped at Bear Lake for a night on our way in from Salt Lake City. The campground there was fun, with mini golf and a jumping pillow.     ... communities: conifer, aspen, riparian, and sage brush. Students learned how to identify different vegetation as they hiked to various locations. Groups discussed the biosphere and how all living things are connected as well as always changing and moving. We had a great day in the field, and were able to cover a lot of ground.
