... total of 3 pitches regardless if they’re high, low, out of range or a foul. Pretty unfair but it makes sense to keep the game moving quickly. Anyway, the game goes on and I’m then subbed in to play catcher. Now, the last time I played catcher I broke my nose and ended up in Hospital. So I sucked it up and stood there, shaking in my boots scared out of my brains. But I managed to get through it without breaking anything, thank goodness! ...

... weak, and tired. Not a good situation considering the trail cumulatively climbed 6000 feet in the next 20 miles. I dragged for 10 miles, having climbed 3700 feet by then. I have 20 plus miles tomorrow with 6000 feet of ...

Thursday, July 9, 2015. PCT day 81. Miles 1251.4-1273.8. My wake up call at daybreak was the song of the Canyon Wren. How I love that bird and it's song. It reminds me so much of my favorite place in the world (the Colorado Plateau). It was sad to leave the Middle Fork of the Feather River this morning. This is the kinda place you wanna spend all day in to swim and chillax. The climb out of the canyon ...

... The water sources were not that spread out. And even if they were, not a big deal because it had been not hot at all. I made it to the Middle Fork of the Feather River, not realizing how much elevation it dropped. Down to 3000 feet from 7000. This river is nice, with warm water and a nice swimming hole. I am glad i camped here. Tomorrow I have a steep climb out of ...
