... the train conductor. He was the one I had to buy a $17 ticket following my detour to Harlem on my first day. He looked at my ticket and said "short trip, huh?" And that it is indeed. 4 whole minutes. It was the first time this week someone has checked my ticket on the way to Tarrytown. That's how short a journey it is.

... had a Dunkin' Donut, which at least was expected to be sweet. Fortified, one way or another, we carried on towards the Tappen Zee bridge.

... was twinkling with lights for MILES. The elevator to the top travels so fast you feel your ears pop as if you were taking off in an airplane. It was quite the experience and was a wonderful end to a great birthday in NYC.
