... we had an hour at the Silk Museum, followed by a walk around one of Suzhou's most famous gardens. The Silk Museum provided a decent narrative of Suzhou and its role in the silk trade and importance on the Silk Road. The gardens, dating back about 400 years, were named "The Humble Administrator's Garden", but were certainly not humble. The place was absolutely packed with Chinese tourists, not deterred by the expensive entrance price.
