This time I am going by train. sometime soon I will upload a few photos, I took the overnight train, (2pm in the afternoon to 7:30am in the morning) from Hangzhou to Shenzhen, then a quick hop across the border and metro to Wan Chai where the Visa office is.

... was wonderful - fountains of water moving in time to music.

Dinner that night was a huge bowl full of baby crayfish, green beans, sweet and sour pork, shredded potato and peanuts. We are starting to eat like the chinese - leaving a huge mess on the table. Although I noticed as we left, that people were eating the shells of the crays - head and all. No thankyou. I have learnt my lesson there!

... the Zhejiang region with its capital Hangzhou has always been very rich and the local elites have settled for centuries around this very beautiful city with the west lake and only a few hours away from Shanghai.

The scenery around the lake is very beautiful, although very artificial as the most of the sights such as bridges and lake-side pathways have been constructed only lately for tourists, and as almost any building serves some kind of tourism purpose. ...
